COP21 & Beyond
"We are not going to be able to operate our Spaceship Earth successfully nor for much longer unless we see it as a whole spaceship and our fate as common. It has to be everybody or nobody.”
– R. Buckminster Fuller
Art moves. Artists inspire. We promoted the work of artists engaged in environmental advocacy during COP21 global climate change negotiations in Paris:
Composer and cellist Philipp Sheppard composed the music for One Heart One Tree, COP21’s flagship art project on the Eiffel Tour, created by Naziha Mestaoui.
Singer and composer Tara Baswani, formally with Cirque du Soleil, brought her message of re-connection to Paris with a live performance at Place to B, a global hub where change-makers and storytellers explored innovative ways to tackle climate change.
We produced thought leadership content for BITS & BRICKS, a global forum on the future of cities produced by MIT Senseable CityLab in collaboration with The World Economic Forum and World Bank Group.
We joined the MADE collective – Mexican and American Designers and Engineers – to promote Otra Nation, an alternative proposal to the US-Mexico border wall that was officially submitted to both the White House and the Government of Mexico. Following our presentation, Otra Nation was invited to join The World Alliance for Efficient Solutions by its founder Bertrand Piccard.
